- Designed and construction in 90/91 as part of the dissertation of C. Seidel, Stuttgart (1993), Germany
- Manufactured by the company Pink in Wertheim, Germany, residual pressure in all chambers 1*10-10mbar
- Used at Stuttgart University until 1993
- Used at Würzburg University, research group of Prof. Umbach since 1993

Special features:
- Three measuring chambers concerning to the independly usable working places
- Tunnelling Microscopy with up to three "Beetle STMs, partly coolable
- STM chamber mounted on 20t spring suspended concrete
- Sample storage places inside the ESCA, STM, lock-in and special storage chambers
- System can be expanded by adding another large chamber for analytic or preparation processes
- Special designs for organic epitaxy
