Low Temperature Measurement Head |
Together with a He flow cryostat the measurement head can carry out four- pole measurements below 10K with electrodes applying a very small force to the layer.
Features:
- Temperature of the sample 6.6K achieved
- Freely available electrode material (Au coated tungsten, Pt, Au..)
- Depending on the size of the electrodes forces of less than 1x10-6N to 0.1N can be applied
- Omicron-compatible sample holder
- Low-temperature piezo actuator for very smooth approach (like STM techniques)
- Final temperature (10K) after 1.2 hours of cooling down

The measurement head is completely shielded by the cap of the cryostat.
The (semiconductor) sample can be prepared at different preparation stage by direct heating to 1200°C.
